A black one just wafted past like it’s nothing. 3rd one I’ve seen, EVER. Was on the way back from a flower festival in Silvan, taking the scenic route through Sassafras and Olinda.

That looks like it could have been a bat mobile in a bygone era.

Haha, sorry. Didn’t exactly give a lot of information for non Citroen people to go off

Great, if French

They just never had a presence in the US, and that’s a shame. There was a sad one of these that used to park on W 76th Street - haven’t seen it for years. White, collapsed suspension all around.

I’d oft  be hard-pressed to distinguish a Camaro from a Corvette, so the range of things I don’t know about in the car world is vast.

It is a shame. There are more in Australia, but not many more. I went to a French car show once which had a Clio V6 but no SM!

When you park a Citroën with hydropneumatic suspension from before ~1993, it will lower itself right down to it's bump stops in a few hours. That's normal and not a sign of collapsed suspension. Start the engine and it will be at ride height within 10 seconds or so.

I think this was worse - it didn’t move for a long time. How it didn’t get towed (you have to move your car around here for street cleaning, various other things) . I recall another dead one in Georgetown when I lived in DC. In fact there were several interesting dead cars in that neighborhood. And a cherry Peugeot 504 wagon.

I would do dirty, unspeakable things for a well sorted one of these with the 5 speed.
